Yamamoto Nori – Meals Sake Tokyo

Love this new eating idea from Yamamoto Nori in Nihonbashi. The historic store was based in 1849. A well-known store for nori. It was Japan’s first drive-through store! This location is retail with a small counter for eight friends in a single nook.

Lunch is rice served in an ohitsu picket vessel and freshly roasted nori. It’s saved heat in a small picket field with a wee piece of toasty charcoal beneath. Twelve fillings are introduced. Marinated creamy egg yolk. Unagi with recent sansho leaf. Tuna sashimi. Smoked sturgeon and caviar. My favourite was the shin natto which included dried natto giving it an sudden crunchy texture.

Diners choose between two units. I went with my buddy, Iron Chef @kimiononaga of Nihonbashi Yukari. I really like his creativity and this new natto is an ideal instance of his creativeness. This set is 3,630 yen ($23). There’s an possibility of upgrading the nori to five,280 yen ($34).

The opposite lunch set is by Yumiko Ukon of the favored @onigiri_bongo in Otsuka. Her menu is 1,980 yen ($13). The rice served is Niigata Koshihikari. There’s additionally a small plastic holder to carry the nori whereas filling with rice and toppings.

Notice it is a new/non permanent location. See the handle under. The final location is at present underneath renovation (for as much as about six years I imagine).

This lunch may be very fashionable. I’ve tried going many instances previously however the waitlist was too lengthy. I used to be delighted to get seated after I tried not too long ago.

With Iron Chef Kimio Nonaga.
