Onion and Tomato Miso Soup



As we speak’s miso soup is made with white miso, sliced onion, and grape tomatoes. White miso is sweeter and milder than common miso, and it tastes nearly creamy. The flavour of the miso balances properly with the tartness and umami from tomatoes.

  • 4 cups Dashi
  • 1/2 onion sliced 1/4″ thick
  • 20 grape tomatoes
  • 4-5 tbsp white miso paste or common miso paste
  • Make the Dashi broth in accordance with the recipe or use an immediate dashi packet or powder. Deliver the dashi to a boil and add the sliced onion. Cowl and cook dinner at medium low warmth for 3 minutes. Add the tomatoes and cook dinner for two extra minutes.

  • Flip off the warmth and dissolve the miso paste.
